Our 8th grade science students got hands-on with learning as they explored worm dissections! 🧪

Through this activity, students were able to closely examine anatomy, understand body systems, and see firsthand how structure relates to function. It was a great opportunity to build curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific skills in a real-world way.

Future scientists in the making! 🔬✨

📊 Attendance Matters!
Data from FutureEd shows that chronic absenteeism (missing 10% or more of the school year) is improving nationwide, but no state has returned to pre-pandemic levels yet.

📌 Why this is important:
Every day in class matters! Being present helps students stay on track academically, build relationships, and feel connected to school.

👀 Curious about our state?
Parents and community members can use the interactive tracker to see where Illinois stands and how attendance compares across states!

Our 7th grade history students have just completed their novel unit featuring Prisoner B-3087 by Alan Gratz. Through this powerful historical novel, students explored themes of resilience, survival, and courage.

Students are now beginning an exciting new phase of the unit by selecting another Alan Gratz novel of their choice from a collection of 19 different titles. Each option is rooted in history, allowing students to continue strengthening their reading skills while learning about real historical events through engaging fiction.
