This is a friendly reminder that students entering Preschool, Kindergarten, Sixth Grade, Ninth Grade, and Twelfth Grade are required to have their medical requirements up to date in order to remain enrolled in school.
The deadline to provide required immunization documentation is ONE MONTH AWAY - October 15, 2026. Students who do not have the required immunizations or documentation on file by this date may not be permitted to remain in school until the requirements are met.
If your child has already completed the required immunizations and submitted documentation to the school, no further action is needed. You can send via email to ahughes@stauntonschools.org and afeldmann@stauntonschools.org, or turn paper documents into the main offices.
If you have questions about your child's immunization requirements or need to submit an updated record, please contact the health office as soon as possible.

Last week, Mrs. Klein's 8th grade ELA students put their communication skills to the test with a Blind Puzzle Challenge!
Working with a small group, one student was blindfolded while the others had to give clear, explicit directions to guide their partner in putting together a puzzle.
Students quickly discovered that saying “put that piece there” wasn’t quite specific enough! 😂 They had to practice using precise language, giving step-by-step instructions, listening carefully, asking questions, and communicating effectively.
It was a fun (and sometimes hilarious!) way to see just how important clear communication is.

Those taking bricks may make a donation to the Staunton Education Foundation if they wish; however, donations are completely optional.
