🔬☀️ Sixth Grade Science: Exploring the Reason for the Seasons! 🌎
Our sixth-grade scientists recently completed an Angle of Sunlight Lab to investigate how Earth's tilt affects the amount and intensity of sunlight reaching its surface. Using flashlights, protractors, and graph paper, students tested different light angles, collected data, and observed that direct light is more concentrated while indirect light spreads over a larger area.
This hands-on investigation helps students understand why Earth experiences different seasons and connects classroom learning to real-world science! 🌎☀️

Parking areas are outlined in RED on the map and include the far north lot near the soccer fields across from Livingston Pipe & Tube, the center high school lot, and the south lot.

Beginning 30 minutes before kickoff through 30 minutes after kickoff.
Resuming 30 minutes before the end of the game through 30 minutes after the game ends.

Our Jr. High Cheerleaders have already been busy spreading school spirit this school year! They’ve recognized our 8th Grade Softball Team and 8th Grade Baseball Team, and now they’re taking their school spirit to the hallways by decorating lockers for our Jr. High student-athletes! 🎉

The deadline to provide required documentation is TWO WEEKS AWAY - October 15, 2026.
Students who do not have the required immunizations or documentation on file by this date may not be permitted to remain in school until the requirements are met.
If your child has already completed the medical requirements and submitted documentation to the school, no further action is needed. You can send via email to ahughes@stauntonschools.org and afeldmann@stauntonschools.org, or turn paper documents into the main offices.
If you have questions about your child's medical requirements, please contact the health office as soon as possible.
