Staunton Families: If your student is an ELECTIVE REMOTE LEARNER in Kindergarten - 8th grade, the school is hosting the MAP® Growth™ test from NWEA® starting the week of September 14th in the community room. Remote learners are encouraged to come to school starting Monday, September 14th once students have been dismissed for the day to complete testing. Dependent on the student, the testing may take 4 days to complete. Please complete the RSVP Form by Wednesday, September 9th linked below. RSVP Form Link: https://bit.ly/2EywhwD *6th - 8th grade students will start testing at 2:00 PM each day. *K - 5th grade students will start testing at 3:00 PM each day. -Students MUST bring their device for testing. -Students MUST wear a mask upon entering the building to test. -Parents will drop students off at the community room entrance and students’ temperatures will be taken. -6th - 8th grade students MAY NOT need all 4 days to complete the test. -K - 5th grade students MAY need all 4 days to complete the test. INFORMATION ABOUT MAP: MAP Growth scores help teachers check student performance by measuring achievement and growth. Teachers use results to tailor classroom lessons and set goals for students. MAP Growth tests are unique, and it adapts to your child’s responses to measure your child’s skill level. If your child answers a question correctly, the next question is more challenging. If they answer incorrectly, the next one is easier. These results will provide a more complete picture of what your child knows and is ready to learn—whether it is on, above, or below their grade level. FOOD SERVICE TIME UPDATE: Staunton Families: Due to the school closure August 24th - August 28th, we are planning to offer 'grab and go' pre-packaged breakfast and/or lunch to students in the district. Please complete the linked survey below if you plan to pick up breakfast and/or lunch for your student(s). Completion of the survey will help the district in planning for the distribution of the pre-packaged meals. Meals can be picked up in the Bus Lane on the Staunton Schools campus or at the Bus Garage in Livingston. All 3rd - 12th grade students who need a device for elective remote learning should drive up to the library entrance of the school on Monday, August 10th between the hours of 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM and you will receive a Chromebook. All K - 2nd grade students who need a device for elective remote learning should drive up to the library entrance of the school on Monday, August 17th between the hours of 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM and you will receive an iPad. Additionally, any elementary student who ordered a school supply box will receive it when he/she picks up a device.
