Mrs. Miller's 1st Grade Class did a Hearts Across America project (I included the flyer) this year and were blown away by the response. They received over 115 valentines and post cards from 44 of the 50 states. They even received a coconut from Hawaii! Her class enjoyed reading state facts, the handwritten notes and they especially loved the packages that included candy or stickers!

They are still hoping to receive mail from Nevada, South Dakota, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Vermont and Delaware.

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 24th from 5:00–6:30 PM for our annual STEAM Night — Olympics Edition!

This year, students and families will explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through exciting, hands-on Olympic-themed activities! 🏂⛷️

🎨5th Grade ELA has been studying the Artists of the Renaissance. Discussing Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and how they impacted the world around them. As a way to wrap up this unit, students got to step into the role of a Renaissance Artist. They each created a self-portrait just like artists of that time!

Staunton Community Unit School District No. 6 is now accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education.

The individual selected will serve from the date of appointment through April 6, 2027.

We are seeking a committed community member who believes in our mission:

*U.S. citizen
*At least 18 years of age
*Resident of Illinois and Staunton CUSD #6 for at least one year

(Please note: No applicants are eligible from Staunton Township 7N – Range 6W.)
