Staunton CUSD #6 Families : Just a reminder that if your student is going to be absent from school, a parent/guardian must call the school office to report the absence. This phone call should be made before 10:00 AM. If you are not immediately able to get through to a secretary, please leave a message with your child's name and reason for the absence. Please also note that doctor's notes are required for an absence to be excused after the first ten absences. These absences should also be called in.

Staunton Families: Tonight the school district had to cancel the boys home basketball game due to a threat that was received by the Staunton Police Department. Administrators worked with staff to quickly and safely clear the campus. The building was then secured and locked down while the Staunton Police Department investigated the threat.
Upon further investigation it was deemed by the police department that the threat was not credible. Out of an abundance of caution for student and staff safety the school district will have a police presence on campus tomorrow.
