As construction moves forward on the new high school addition, the Board of Education is excited to invite all members of the communities that make up the Staunton School District to come sign one of the final steel beams that will be placed in the canopy area of the building.

The beam is located at the north end of campus near the library entrance to the school. There will be a table with markers available to sign your name. The beam will be available for signing through Sunday, November 23rd.

When signing, we request that you include your name only (no notes or messages please) to ensure everyone has ample space to sign the steel beam.

Mr. Schulte's 8th grade art class started their clay fireplace project last week. Students learned about the different stages of clay, how to wedge clay, roll out slabs, use the score & slip method to attach clay pieces together.

The Staunton Junior High School band was recently awarded a grant of $1250 from the Peter R. Marsh Foundation. The funds will help purchase classroom equipment and supplies. Pictured are Educational Services Administrator Steve Moore and SJHS Band Director Charles Prager.
