Below is the message that was given to the seniors yesterday. They will receive the forms today in their English class. They DO NOT need to be at school on April 12th. In order for it to count as an attendance day, they will need to follow the below instructions and fill out their form and return it to the office on April 13th. Failure to do so will result in the student being marked absent.
April 12th is PSAT/SAT testing day for grades 9-11. Seniors do not need to come to school on that day, but in order for you not to be counted as absent, you need to use it to job shadow in an area you are interested in, visit a college or trade school, or do some act of community service. You will receive a form in your English class. When you return to school on the 13th, you will need to have the form with you and turn it into the office or Mrs. Thomas, so that you are not counted absent.

PRESCHOOL SCREENINGS
CALLING ALL 3 & 4 YEAR OLDS
Staunton Elementary School will conduct annual preschool screenings for the 2022-2023 school year on April 11, 12, 13, & 14. This is a free developmental screening for all preschool children who will not be eligible to attend Kindergarten in the fall and will be three (3) years old on or before September 1, 2023. Parents are encouraged to
take advantage of this opportunity to identify their child's strengths as well as weaknesses in the areas of fine and gross motor skills, concepts, and communication. Vision and hearing will also be screened. Parents will be asked
to complete a parent interview form covering early development. It may be helpful to bring the child's baby
book. Parents will be informed of their child's performance immediately following the screening. The school's goal is to assist parents in determining that their child will be ready for Kindergarten and will be able to make the most of future school experiences. To be eligible for any preschool services, children must participate in a
screening and proof of income must be provided. To schedule an appointment, please call the Staunton Elementary School at (618) 635-3831 as soon as possible. Appointments must be made in advance.
Please bring in any of the following as proof of income for the state:
Income Tax Forms
Your last, most recent two pay stubs
• Proof of WIC
Proof of SNAP benefits
Wages and Tax Statement (most recent W-2)
• Verification letter from employer
**Preschool for All Children (3-5) programs are being funded on a competitive basis. Staunton CUSD #6 will conduct screenings in anticipation of funding of our proposal by the Illinois State Board of Education.

They are awesome to have around the house because you have a great storage container for your cards that you already have on hand, plus you have the cards that come in the box. Each card is individually wrapped and embellished. If you are interested, please email kreinhardt@stauntonschools.org and we can get your order added to the list! Money is due upon the time of order!

Senior parents,
