Parking passes will be distributed on a first come first serve basis beginning with Seniors once we are able to determine exactly how many spaces that we will have available. We will announce times and dates for purchasing parking once that is determined.
Ms. Underwood is a graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) and is beginning her first year in education. She gained valuable classroom experience while completing her student teaching in kindergarten at Staunton Elementary School, where she discovered her passion for working with young learners.
We are thrilled to have Ms. Underwood join our school family and look forward to all support she will bring to our first-grade students!

The parent/player meeting for high school and junior high will be held tonight (8/11/2026) at the NET Church due to construction. We will begin at 6:30 pm. If you are unable to attend, there will be a second date to get the required information so that your student can participate in sports for the 26/27 school year. #GoBulldogs #GoTerriers


Mr. Nichols will be joining us as our Junior High PE Paraprofessional, High School JV Baseball Head Coach, and Junior High Baseball Head Coach.
He attended Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). In addition to that, he has 5 kids at home!
When asked what he's looking forward to most, he shared:
"I’m looking forward to making a positive impact on students, building strong relationships, and being involved in the school community through academics and athletics."

Meeting will be held on TUESDAY, August 11th @ 6:30 in the Main Gym.
All athletes & parents are required to attend prior to the first game/match. If you are unable to make this meeting, and play a fall sport, we will host a make-up day soon. We will also host winter and spring meetings as well!

We would like to recognize and thank our outstanding FFA and Career & Technical Education (CTE) students and staff, along with our dedicated Maintenance Staff, for their hard work and collaboration in helping install the new signage and plant flowers at the Staunton CUSD #6 District Office.
Their efforts have enhanced the appearance of our Administrative Center and reflect the pride we have in our schools and community. This project highlights the value of teamwork, hands-on learning, and the positive impact that can be achieved when students and staff work together.

The Staunton CUSD #6 Board of Education was proud to recognize and celebrate several outstanding students, programs, and community partners during the May Board Meeting!
👏 Congratulations to our Jr. High Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest winners through the VFW for their outstanding writing and representation of Staunton Schools.
🎤 We also recognized our FFA speaking contest winners who will now advance to compete at the STATE level! We are incredibly proud of their hard work, leadership, and communication skills.
🏈 A special THANK YOU goes out to the Junior Football Program and Mike Peters with Auto, Sound, and Security for their continued support of Staunton athletics. Their generosity and dedication over the years have helped upgrade equipment and improve our football field complex for our students and community.

1) If you need to come into the building as a visitor, you will need to enter through the elementary office. Please call ahead to make sure that someone is here to let you in.
2) As a result of construction, access to phones and internet is sporadic. Please be patient if you are trying to get ahold of someone. Email is probably your best bet, since we can check that off site.
3) If you have to get ahold of someone for a time sensitive issue, please contact the district office, so that they can get ahold of someone. Building secretaries are off for the summer after May 26th.
