Both Golf Teams won last night. Preston Denney led the way with a score of 38, while the team won 178-206. Kendall Meyer led with girls with their win of 237-251. Way to go Bulldogs.

SHS FAQ: How can I be released from 8th hour (leave school early)? Answer--Earn high grades, show up for school on time, report to class on time, do not earn detentions and simply make good choices.


SHS FAQ-What are the lunch options for SHS students? Answer-SHS is an open campus for most 10th-12th graders. Freshmen report to the cafeteria and can bring their lunch or eat a free school meal. Most 10th-12th graders have the option to leave campus or eat in the cafeteria.


SHS FAQ: Are all SHS kids dressing out in PE uniforms for Physical Education this year? Answer--No. But all students scheduled for PE must wear tennis shoes, full length t-shirts, and shorts or sweats appropriate for physical activity.

SHS FAQ: What time do SHS students need to be seated in their first hour class in order to be counted as present? Answer--Students must be in their first hour, assigned seats by 8:10 AM.


SHS FAQ: Question-Can high school kids carry their back packs to and from classes? Answer-Yes. Instead of congregating at lockers, we encourage kids to carry their backpacks with them. Now that we utilize Chromebooks, most students only have a few books for their classes.


SHS Families---With no AC in the halls or gymnasium, it's gonna be awfully hot this evening for our Open House & Freshman Orientation. If you are unable to attend, please note that we will have plenty of help on hand for freshmen to find their way to and from classes during the first week of school.


A special THANK YOU to the family of Conor Vesper, who donated funds to purchase an upgraded player system for Staunton High School's Scholastic Bowl Team and new Stereo Microscopes for Staunton High School's Chemistry Lab. These donations were made in memory of Conor, who was the Valedictorian of the Class of 2013.
