We are excited for our home football game on Saturday! Just a few things to remember. Please let the refs ref, the coaches coach, and the players play. We want Staunton to be a good example of excellent sportsmanship. Children under 8th grade need to be accompanied by an adult and should be with the adult. Per Illinois State Law, there should be no tobacco/vape, alcohol, or drugs on school property. Come ready to cheer on our Bulldogs! GO DOGS!

We have received EXCITING NEWS from National FFA….We could not be more proud of our very own Olivia Albrecht for being named a ⭐️ GOLD ⭐️ rated proficiency award winner at the NATIONAL FFA level in the area of small animal production and care! She finished her FFA career as TOP 10 in the nation! Way to go Liv!

The Staunton FFA Chapter has been awarded a ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 3 STAR ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ranking in the National Chapter Award Program. This is the highest ranking a chapter can receive! Congratulations to the chapter officers and members for working hard this past year to grow leaders, strengthen agriculture, and build communities!
The National Chapter Award program is designed to recognize FFA chapters nationwide that are actively implementing the mission and strategies of the organization! Staunton FFA will be recognized on the national stage at the 96th National FFA Convention on November 1-4, 2023, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

There will be a form to fill out tonight for anyone needing a schedule change. No changes will be made until tomorrow. Please do not request a schedule change at this time as we are finishing up schedules for the students who still do not have one.
Most schedules are ready to access. We are still working on schedules for Seniors and new students. We are hoping to have those completed by late afternoon. We will not be making schedule changes tonight at Open House. If there is a change that needs to be made, we will look at those on Wednesday. Students have five days to adjust classes, per the handbook.

Attention! Registration closes at NOON tomorrow. If you have not registered yet, or completed registration, please do so before that time. School begins on the 16th.
Freshmen Orientation is in the Multi-Purpose tonight. We will also be passing out Chromebooks to Freshmen and selling PE uniforms for $25 each. You can pay with check or cash. FFA will be grilling out and there will be information on clubs and organizations. Student Council will be offering tours for interested students. The informational meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and will end at approximately 7p.m. Mr. Smith will be presenting information on Driver's Ed. We can't wait to see you there!

The high school has been getting several requests for student schedules. We know that usually students are able to access them by this point. The counselor that we hired in May resigned from the position a week ago. We are in the process of hiring a counselor and ask for your patience as they get acclimated and learn the scheduling process. As soon as we are able to get schedules figured out, we will let families know.
Tennis starts Monday, August 7th from 9-10:30 in Bunker Hill.
