Reminder: Open House for the High School is Thursday, August 8th from 5:30 to 7:30. You can find your classrooms, locker, pick up a Chromebook, lock, buy your PE uniform, etc. We are excited to see everyone!
Reminder: We are excited to see everyone at Freshman Orientation in the main gym! 5:30 -6:00 you can grab a shirt (courtesy of the FFA), a hotdog, and learn about some clubs and organizations that you can participate in. 6 - 630 will be a presentation on credits, classes, driver's ed, etc. From 6:30 - 7:30 you can find your classrooms, pick up a Chromebook, lock, buy your PE uniform, etc. There will be students on hand to give tours and answer questions. If there is a question about your schedule, the counselor will also be on hand to answer questions and adjust anything. We look forward to seeing you!
High School Athletes:
There is a parent/player meeting tomorrow from 6-7 pm
Please bring a check for $75 to cover your sports fee, your physical if you have it, and your insurance information for the yellow card.

Attention High School Students: Freshman Orientation will be held on August 6th from 5:30 to 7:30. Students are able to buy PE uniforms ($25), pick up locks/chromebooks, and make schedule changes if necessary. This will be held is the main gym.

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION: THURSDAY, AUGUST 1
New Student Registration will be located in the Elementary Community Room, which is located at the south end of the school campus. All NEW students must attend New Student Registration at the times listed below to prove residency (see the attached photo - required to provide 1 from Category I and 3 from Category II) and complete the registration process. *In addition, all NEW students must have a copy of his/her birth certificate upon registration.

Staunton Elementary is still seeking new Terriers for our preschool program. If you have a child who will be 3 or 4 by September 1 of this year, please click the link below to schedule a screening! Students in our program learn academic skills as well as social skills. Attending preschool on our campus is a wonderful way to get ready for kindergarten!

At the July Board of Education meeting, two outstanding students were recognized! 2023 graduate, Riley Kessler, presented a plaque to the Board of Education and shared about her recent experience serving as the FFA Secretary for the state of Illinois this past year. Also, recent graduate, Max Eldred, was recognized for earning the Commendation of Biliteracy, which is awarded because he demonstrated significant progress toward achieving a high level of proficiency in English and in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in another language. Congratulations!
