Another exciting announcement from NATIONAL FFA today… For the 2nd year in a row, the Staunton FFA Chapter has been awarded a ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 3 STAR ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ranking in the National Chapter Award Program. This is the highest ranking a chapter can receive! Congratulations to the chapter officers and members for working hard this past year to grow leaders, strengthen agriculture, and build communities! The National Chapter Award program is designed to recognize FFA chapters nationwide that are actively implementing the mission and strategies of the organization! Preschool - 8th Grade Open House will be held on August 12 from 5:30-7:30. Elementary students are welcome to come meet their teacher, preview their classroom, drop off supplies, and get any necessary information on healthcare and transportation. In addition to the above, our Junior High students will receive their locker assignments. New and returning students must be registered in order to get their teachers and / or schedules. If you have a new student to register, please call 618-635-3831 to make an appointment. Returning student registration should be done via Skyward. We hope to see you there. Just a reminder, the first day of school is Wednesday, August 14.

Reminder: We are excited to see everyone at Freshman Orientation in the main gym! 5:30 -6:00 you can grab a shirt (courtesy of the FFA), a hotdog, and learn about some clubs and organizations that you can participate in. 6 - 630 will be a presentation on credits, classes, driver's ed, etc. From 6:30 - 7:30 you can find your classrooms, pick up a Chromebook, lock, buy your PE uniform, etc. There will be students on hand to give tours and answer questions. If there is a question about your schedule, the counselor will also be on hand to answer questions and adjust anything. We look forward to seeing you!

Attention High School Students: Freshman Orientation will be held on August 6th from 5:30 to 7:30. Students are able to buy PE uniforms ($25), pick up locks/chromebooks, and make schedule changes if necessary. This will be held is the main gym. Open House is August 8th from 5:30 to 7:30. Students can pick up their locks/chromebooks, buy PE uniforms ($25), and make changes to their schedule. Junior and Seniors can buy parking passes ($25). Sophomores will be able to buy parking passes beginning Monday, August 19th.

At the July Board of Education meeting, two outstanding students were recognized! 2023 graduate, Riley Kessler, presented a plaque to the Board of Education and shared about her recent experience serving as the FFA Secretary for the state of Illinois this past year. Also, recent graduate, Max Eldred, was recognized for earning the Commendation of Biliteracy, which is awarded because he demonstrated significant progress toward achieving a high level of proficiency in English and in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in another language.
