7th Grade Families:

All 7th grade students will be transitioning to full remote learning starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 18, 2022.  This adaptive pause will last through Wednesday, January 19, 2022.  Presently, it has been determined that 7th grade students will return to in-person instruction starting Thursday, January 20, 2022.

The school district is transitioning to an adaptive pause at this grade level because there are multiple classrooms and extracurricular programs in the outbreak status according to guidelines issued by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Macoupin County Public Health Department.

It is expected that your child participates in full remote learning throughout the adaptive pause using Schoology.  Students will be able to pick up their Chromebooks at the Jr. High School on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 (8 AM to 3 PM).   Listed below are the expectations and schedule for Full Remote Learning for the students.  If internet connectivity is a concern for your household, 7th grade learning packets will be made available on Tuesday, January 18th.  The packets will be accessible to 7th grade families near the front doors of the Elementary/Jr. High School.

Due to the adaptive pause for 7th grade, there will be no extracurricular activities for these grade levels through Wednesday, January 19, 2022.  This includes both practices and competitive events.  This decision is being made due to the outbreak status affecting these grade levels.

Pre-packaged meals will be provided to students in 7th Grade.  If you want to participate in the program and receive a meal at no cost, please click HERE to complete the survey.

If you have any concerns or questions over this situation, please feel free to contact the school.
