Staunton Families: Please join us in welcoming Mr. Brian Hart to the Staunton CUSD #6 Family! On July 26th, the Staunton Board of Education employed Mr. Hart to serve as the 6th-12th Grade Dean of Students and the Jr. High Athletic Director.
Mr. Hart states that he is excited to join the Staunton School District as the new Dean of Students (6-12) and middle school Athletic Director after serving in the Edwardsville School District as a high school science teacher. In addition to teaching, he has over a decade of coaching experience at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. He has worked with Hall of Fame basketball coaches Jim Boeheim (Syracuse University), Harry Statham (McKendree University), and Dennis Rueter (Gibault Catholic High School).
Prior to teaching, Mr. Hart worked corporate at Bayer (formerly Monsanto) in their genetic quality assurance laboratory. Some of his hobbies include hiking, fishing, watching movies, and playing guitar. This fall he plans to hike 24 miles from “Rim to Rim” across the Grand Canyon with his dad and brother in one day!
