8th - 12th Grade Families:

All 8th - 12th grade students will be transitioning to full remote learning starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 11, 2022.  This adaptive pause will last through Friday, January 14, 2022.  Presently, it has been determined that 8th - 12th grade students will return to in-person instruction starting Tuesday January 18, 2022, following the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.

The school district is transitioning to an adaptive pause at these grade levels because there are multiple classrooms and extracurricular programs in the outbreak status according to guidelines issued by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Macoupin County Public Health Department.  Additionally, there is also a current strain to adequately staff classrooms at these grade levels.

It is expected that your child participates in full remote learning throughout the adaptive pause using Schoology.  Listed below are the expectations and schedule for Full Remote Learning for the students.  If internet connectivity is a concern for your household, 8th grade learning packets will be made available on Tuesday, January 11th.  The packets will be accessible to 8th grade families near the front doors of the Elementary/Jr. High School.  If your student is in High School, please contact the High School Office to receive a packet.

Due to the adaptive pause for 8th - 12th grade, there will be no extracurricular activities for these grade levels through Saturday, January 15, 2022.  This includes both practices and competitive events.  This decision is being made due to the outbreak status affecting these grade levels.

Pre-packaged meals will be provided to students in 8th-12th grade.  If you want to participate in the program and receive a meal at no cost, please click HERE to complete the survey.

If you have any concerns or questions over this situation, please feel free to contact the school.
