Staunton CUSD #6 Families:

We are looking forward to welcoming your children back to school on Monday, August 30th! We will be returning to a normal schedule for instruction and all extracurricular activities/athletics will resume. The district will continue implementing strategies to mitigate the spread of COVID. All students are required to wear masks while in the building and we ask that you encourage your children to frequently wash their hands and do their best to distance themselves socially. Additionally, please do not send your child to school if he/she is exhibiting any symptoms from our Decision Tree.  Also, due to all water fountains being closed, we strongly encourage all students to bring a water bottle with them each day.  There are multiple touchless bottle filling stations throughout the district.

A reminder, this coming Wednesday, September 1st is an early dismissal day for teachers to participate in professional development.  As such, all students will be dismissed from school at 12:30 PM.  Due to the early release, all 6th - 12th grade students will be provided a to-go lunch option as they exit the building.  All elementary students will eat lunch during the school day.  Additionally, there is no school on Monday, September 6th in observance of Labor Day.

The school district will be implementing a ‘Test to Stay Program’ to limit the number of students that need to be quarantined should they be considered a close contact.  Click HERE to learn more information about the program and to complete the consent form for your child to participate. The start date of the test to stay program is yet to be determined.

As always, we appreciate your support for our district and we are eager to have students return for in person instruction.  Stay safe and healthy!
