October is Bullying Prevention and Drug Free Awareness Month and the Elementary / Jr. High School Office is encouraging ALL staff, students, and families to participate in the following days and activities to promote bullying and drug free awareness.

  • Monday, October 5th is the World Day of Bullying Prevention and everyone is encouraged to wear Blue to STOP bullying and cyberbullying. #BlueUp

  • Week of October 12th - 16th is a Door Decorating Contest!  All classes will have this week to decorate their classroom door based on this year’s theme.  Judging will take place the following week.  The winning classes will receive a Donut Party!

  • Week of October 19th - 23rd will be themed dress up days:
    • Monday, October 19th = “Superhero Day” - Standing up against bullying is Heroic.  Wear your favorite superhero shirt. 

    • Tuesday, October 20th = “Team Up Against Bullying Day” - Wear your favorite team jersey or shirt. 

    • Wednesday, October 21st = “Unity Day” - Wear Orange as an expression of solidarity against bullying. #UnityDay

    •  Thursday, October 22nd = “It’s OK to be Different Day” - Wear mismatched clothes as a reminder that it’s OK to be different. 

    • Friday, October 23rd = “Spirit Day” - Show your Staunton Terrier/Bulldog Pride by dressing in school spirit wear.


  • Monday, October 26th is ‘Red Out Day’ in recognition of Red Ribbon Week and sending a message to Stay Drug Free
