Staunton Community Unit School District No. 6 Early Dismissal and School Closing Information Weather Information Decisions to delay the start of school, to dismiss early, or to cancel the entire day is made entirely on the consideration of student safety. The following information may be helpful to you as you prepare the necessary contingency plan for your child. During periods of questionable weather, we receive first hand information from a variety of sources. We will attempt to make a decision and necessary announcements as early as possible.
