The Illinois state-mandated SAT is fast approaching! All 11th grade students will take this important test on Tuesday, April 9th at school. It is strongly encouraged for all students to practice in advance of this test to ensure they are prepared. Also, it is expected that all students give 100% effort on test day. Here is a Test Day Checklist to review in advance of April 9th.
On Test Day (April 9, 2019), students in 9th and 10th grade will be taking the PSAT, which is a preparatory assessment and the scores are utilized by the school for course placement. Additionally, this test will provide a projected score for the SAT. All 12th grade students will be off campus this day either touring a college/university or conducting a job shadow.
The school will be mandating all 11th grade students to stay during 8th period (2:40 - 3:05) starting Monday, March 11th for Test Prep using Khan Academy. Research suggests that those students who prepare for the SAT score higher on this important test.
