Staunton Community Unit School District No. 6 Good Morning SHS!  Here are your announcements for Friday, September 3rd, 2010 The Student Council's opening meeting will take place today at noon in Mrs. Baima's room. We will be electing officers and planning Homecoming. Pizza and soda will be provided. Be on time and bring your ideas! Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors: Please think about taking the PSAT. Freshmen and sophomores can take it as a practice, but juniors may take it and will be automatically entered into the National Merit Scholarship Corporation competitions for recognition and scholarships. In addition, it grants your access to My College QuickStart which allows students to access personalized college and career planning resources to help ease your transition to college. For more information, see Mrs. Cress. Seniors, there is a scholarship available to any senior who wishes to submit a sketch and idea of a formal gown to Formals of Litchfield. Please pick up information in the guidance office if you are interested. Cafeteria menu for today is ham/cheese on bun, corn, Doritos, and fruit cocktail.
