As a new school-year is beginning we would like to personally invite you to attend the Staunton Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) meetings. We know your time is precious and we promise to spend the time wisely strategizing on ways to raise money and create fun activities for your children during the school-year. Many of you may not know exactly what the PTO raises money for so here are a few examples: Books and supplies for AR Program through the Scholastic Bookfair Pizza parties for AR Readers and perfect attendance Santa Claus visits classrooms Gift certificates for office staff on secretaries day Box top parties and special incentives for teachers/students Special exhibits for students Cookies and punch for 8th grade promotion While continuing all of these great activities throughout the year, we also have a larger goal of replacing the playground equipment at Staunton Elementary and AR Graiff schools. With $20,000 in savings, we have a way to go, but are hoping with new fundraisers and more parent participation, the kids can enjoy new equipment soon. We are looking forward to meeting you at our PTO meetings, which are held the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Staunton Home Ec Room. As a new school-year is beginning we would like to personally invite you to attend the Staunton Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) meetings.
